Tennesssee Running Rankings Index 2006 Rankings: Road | Open Track | High School Track
ranking criteria: o For the most popular distances (5K, 10K, half-marathon, and marathon), the 100 fastest individuals open runners (any age) will be listed. Master's listings are 50-deep for over 40s, 30-deep for over 50s, 20-deep for over-60s, and 12-deep where possible for over 70s and over 80s. Note that Tennessee Running utilizes 10-year and not 5-year age grouping for the purpose of these rankings. o For all other distances (4 miles, 8K, 10 miles, and 15K), the 60 fastest individuals open runners (any age) will be listed. Master's listings are 30-deep for over 40s, 20-deep for over-50s, 15-deep for over-60s, and and 12-deep where possible for over 70s and over 80s. Summary of Number of runners included in rankings:
- Only results from USATF-certified races will be included in these rankings. To find out if a race is USATF-certified click here - Performances on courses that are ineligible for USATF record purposes will not be included in the rankings, except for marathons and half-marathons. In this case, the performance will have an "a" after it to denote that this was run on a course with considerable elevation loss or a prevailing tailwind. - Regions of Tennessee are defined as below:
- Counties included in Middle Tennessee region: Stewart, Houston, Humphreys, Perry, Wayne, Lawrence, Lewis, Hickman, Dickson, Montgomery, Robertson, Cheatham, Davidson, Williamson, Maury, Giles, Lincoln, Marshall, Bedford, Rutherford, Wilson, Sumner, Macon, Trousdale, Smith, Dekalb, Cannon, Coffee, Moore, Franklin, Grundy, Warren, Van Buren, White, Putnam, Jackson, Clay, Overton, Pickett, Fentress - Counties included in West Tennessee region: Shelby, Tipton, Lauderdale, Dyer, Lake, Obion, Weakley, Gibson, Crockett, Haywood, Fayette, Hardeman, Madison, Carroll, Henry, Benton, Henderson, Chester, McNairy, Hardin, Decatur, - Counties included in East Tennessee region: Marion, Sequatchie, Bledsoe, Cumberland, Morgan, Scott, Campbell, Anderson, Roane, Rhea, Meigs, Hamilton, Bradley, McMinn, Loudon, Knox, Union, Claiborne, Hancock, Polk, Monroe, Blount, Sevier, Jefferson, Cocke, Grainger, Hamblen, Hawkins, Greene, Washington, Unicoi, Sullivan, Carter, Johnson - College students who only reside in this area during academic semesters do not meet the criteria for inclusion; however, college runners who attend school elsewhere but whose permanent residence is within the defined area may be included. - If you notice any errors or omissions, please e-mail the suggested correction(s).
